Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville name their Premier League teams of the season as the pair agree on 7 players

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville were tasked to name their Teams of the Season on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.

Jamie Carragher's Team of the Season:

Jordan Pickford; Virgil van Dijk, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes; Rodri, Declan Rice; Cole Palmer, Kevin de Bruyne, Martin Odegaard, Phil Foden; Ollie Watkins.

Gary Neville's Team of the Season:

Emiliano Martinez; Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Destiny Udogie; Martin Odegaard, Rodri, Declan Rice; Cole Palmer, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden.

The duo agreed on seven players, but Carragher chose Pickford over Martinez in goal. In defence, Neville picked White and Udogie as full-backs, while Carragher opted for three defenders, with Van Dijk alongside Saliba and Gabriel.

Up front, Carragher chose Villa's Watkins over Manchester City's Haaland. Regarding Van Dijk's selection, Carragher commented, "For the back three, I didn't see any full-backs that stood out to me. I believe that without Van Dijk, Liverpool would be in a tough battle with Villa and Tottenham."
