'I didn’t ever feel it was a winning mentality': Jamie Redknapp slams Spurs after Man City defeat

After Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League loss to Manchester City, Jamie Redknapp didn't hold back in his criticism. On Tuesday night, Ange Postecoglou's team faced off against City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, aiming to keep their dreams of Champions League football alive.

Sadly, the visitors secured a 2-0 victory with Erling Haaland scoring twice, putting them close to their fourth consecutive Premier League title.

Before the match, Spurs fans were torn. Winning could have kept their Champions League hopes alive, but it would also have boosted their local rivals, Arsenal, in the title race.

In the aftermath, Redknapp commented on the team's mindset, particularly after hearing Postecoglou's post-match interview.

Redknapp said: "It’s not been easy listening to what’s been going on and people questioning whether Spurs winning the game. But they had the Champions League, if they had won today and they win on Sunday there was a chance of Champions League football at this club."

"But the people were more interested in stopping Arsenal from winning the title and that mentality and I 100% agree with him(Postecoglou)."

"That’s the culture that has been created for a long while at this club. I was here, I didn’t ever feel it was a winning mentality. You can’t always win but sometimes you can make sure you try."
