According to the latest report from Swedish regulator, Spellinspektionen, the gross gaming revenue (GGR) in the country reached €572,000,000 in Q1 2024.
Year-on-year, the quarter GGR grew up 1 per cent.
Experts believe it's the iGaming growth that caused the increase. As of now, iGaming takes up to 64% of the entire gaming market in Sweden. In Q1, online gambling revenue made €366,000,000 having grown by 2%.
The state-owned lottery and slots operated by Svenska Spel showed €116,3m revenue in Q1 2024, remaining at the level of Q1 2023.
