Yeah, maybe I'd rest him in the 1st half and bring him on in the 2nd, once the game is a bit more open

I'd maybe instead play him for the 2nd 45 mins and then give him a full rest vs Granada, unfortunately we don't have anyone to cover for Rashford if he doesn't play, James is OK but doesn't pose the same level of threat as Rashford, Martial is out injured and the likes of Amad, Shoretire, Elanga etc are too raw to be relied upon

‘You can’t win anything with kids’ yeah, I’ve heard that before somewhere. Rather risk a goalless first half than where we might unearth a gem in Amad, Shoretire or Elanga than risk Rashford damaging himself more and being out for half a season after surgery. How do we become over-reliant on players? By continually over relying on them.

As much as Rashford deserves and needs a rest, we can't afford to rest him against Spurs, no offence to him but Dan James is unlikely to have anywhere near as much of a positive impact against Spurs as Rashford is, particularly if Mourinho parks the bus as he normally does. It would be unfair to play Amad or any other youth player because its a high pressure situation, and it will be a very tough test. I hope Rashford gets a proper rest soon, but Spurs away isn't really the game for it. Realistically, I think Rashford should play on Sunday and then get a proper, full rest against Granada next Thursday.
