Lucas Vazquez has emerged an important cog in the Santiago Solari's machine while Julen Lopetegui was guilty of overlooking the player. Since the Argentinean's arrival in the late October, the Spaniard has already featured in 15 matches, scored four times and provided two assists.
That's why he discusses Solari's reign in an extensive interview with Diario AS, highlighting the team's main goal is to emerge victorious in every competition they are currently playing. Moreover, the right-winger has also touched upon the potential new signings, however, he believes the return of the numerous injured players is the best reinforcement. Lucas is also happy that Madrid overcame the most recent crisis.

What do you feel about Solari so far?
“He (Solari) decides who steers the team. He is getting the best out of players at an individual level and that makes the whole group benefit. May that last until the end of the season so we can win titles, which is what we all want."
Is there any hope to bring more silverware to the Bernabeu?
"The best is to play a good role in LaLiga and continue as we have in the last two games. This is how the titles are obtained. You have to play with intensity and a desire to win, and face the three competitions to the fullest."
Will be there any new winter signings?
"There is little time left [until the market closing]. The best reinforcements are those that were injured that are coming back in now. We are going to need them all. We have a great squad."
Have you managed to put the crisis behind you?
"We are right now. At first we had a couple of slip-ups that didn’t help us at all. We have felt good in the last few games and we want to continue with those good feelings. That way we will achieve great things.”
