Solari hits back at Cristiano's comments: 'Humility is a great virtue'

Real Madrid head coach Santiago Solari addresses the press ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League showdown against CSKA Moscow. Los Blancos have already secured their first-place qualification for the UCL knock-out stages which would allow some youngsters and fringe players to prove themselves at the biggest stage possible.

However, the main topic of Solari's presser turns out to be Cristiano Ronaldo's recent controversial statements. The ex-Madridista said to the Italian media on Monday that Juventus is 'more of a family' than Real Madrid: 'In other places some feel bigger than the rest, but here they are all on the same level, they are humble and they want to win.'

That's what the Real Madrid manager has to say on Cristiano's questionable words, as quoted by Diario AS: "Humility is a great virtue that top players need, and at Real Madrid, we've got a top, humble squad; they've shown that. When it comes to every one of the values bound up in sport, this is a top group of players. Cristiano will always be special to this club; he went down its history. It's not down to anyone to judge the way he feels; that's something personal for him."

Cristiano Ronaldo has left Real Madrid last summer for a fee of around 110 million euros and joined Juventus after nine years in Madrid.
