Spain NT boss Moreno doesn't think Odegaard good enough to play for his team

Norway will face Spain in Oslo on Saturday for Euro-2020. Martin Odegaard is, of course, the rising star of the Noway national team. After two months at Real Sociedad, the 20-year-old got everyone in Spain talking about him.

While previewing the clash on Friday, La Roja boss Roberto Moreno has been asked about Real Madrid starlet and if he'd got a chance to play for Spain if he was eligible.

"I'm sorry, but no," Moreno said on that as per Marca. "Our players are better. I don't want to disrespect anyone. I think we have a great team.

"Now he [Odegaard] is playing in midfield at Real Sociedad and is reaching a high level. He is doing amazingly well.

"At the end of the day Norway are a good team and we will have to be effective to get the win. He is doing well, but there won't be a plan to stop a specific player. I wouldn't make a specific plan to stop him or anyone else."

Well it the end, it's not Moreno who should appreciate Martin's performances, but Real Madrid. And, according to the midfielder they really do so far.

"I'm under contract at Real Madrid," Odegaard said a couple of days ago. "They occasionally write to me - they tell me how they see me getting on, Now they've congratulated me for the good start I've had in La Liga, and they've told me they're very happy with what they've seen."

Martin is a starter for La Real and he helped the team to the 5th place in the table. The midfielder scored two goals against Atletico Madrid and Mallorca and made two assists during the matches against Alaves and Sevilla.

The midfielder has joined Real Sociedad on a one-year loan. However, Los Blancos reportedly retain the possibility to extend his loan for another season if they decide not to bring Odegaard back in the summer of 2020.

Already in his Castilla days, it was obvious just how good Martin is:
