Real Madrid 'stepping up' efforts to sign Camavinga this summer

Real Madrid have accelerated the talks over Eduardo Camavinga's move to the Santiago Bernabeu, RMC Sport report.

"He [Camavinga] is a future star in midfield in Europe. We want to keep him at the club for 10 years. It is our priority. It is better to buy him this summer than the next season when he'll play in the Champions League and his price tag will be twice higher," a source close to Real Madrid said, according to RMC Sport.

However, Rennes still don't plan to part ways with their young star this summer, it is said. A Rennais-related source reportedly informed RMC that there's no release clause in the 17-year-old's active deal with the Ligue 1 side.

Still, it's believed that Real Madrid will send their first offer for the defensive midfielder in the next few weeks.

Camavinga has enjoyed a great start to his senior career at Stade Rennais, making 36 appearances for the Ligue 1 side across all competitions so far. The defensive midfielder is good at recovering the ball has made the headlines with his impressive performances and attracted Madrid's attention.

Should we break the bank and sign Camavinga this summer, not the next one? Share your thoughts in the comments or on our blogging platform!
