- Alvaro Arbeloa has made his debut as the head coach of Real Madrid's U14 team Infantil A, defeating the Getafe B side 5-0.
- The former right-back inherited from Juan Carlos Duque a talented group of players, which includes the son of late Jose Antonio Reyes who scored one of the goals.
- "It is very different [to being a player]," Arbeloa told Real Madrid TV about the experience. "Although you have to be just as focused, you do get a little more nervous than as a player ".
- Arbeloa himself was educated at Real Madrid's academy La Fabrica. He then left Madrid in 2006 to return to the club in three years later to win eight major titles, including the 2011/12 La Liga and two Champions League trophies.
