According to reliable Diario AS, Real Madrid's bosses have ambitious plans in their minds. They want to re-open the Santiago Bernabeu stadium with a Galactico line-up in the summer of 2022 or 2023.
Madrid dream XI: Courtois; Carvajal, Varane, Alaba (Ramos), Mendy; Kroos, Casemiro, Camavinga; Mbappe, Haaland, Hazard.
Blancos hope to secure the missing pieces in the next 2 years:
- Bayern's versatile defender David Alaba could join this summer already - he'll be without a contract and Blancos are widely reported to be leading the race for his services.
- Rennes' wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga could join either this year or the next one. He has reportedly appointed Gareth Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett to speed up the desired transfer.
- PSG's ace Kylian Mbappe could be the trickiest one to get - he has a contract until 2022 and it's unlikely for his club to let him leave for less than €100m.
- Dortmund's star striker Erling Braut Haaland is believed to be Madrid's main priority to replace Karim Benzema whose contract expires in 2022. According to the same source, AS, Haaland has a verbal agreement with Blancos to join them the same year.
