Zinedine Zidane confirms Hazard won't undergo surgery

“We want him to properly recover,” Zinedine Zidane told Real Madrid's website of Eden Hazard's health after the Belgian picked up another injury.

“That’s what’s most important right now. He’s not going to undergo surgery, we have a different plan.

“Everyone here is doing their best to ensure that he recovers properly and returns in the best shape.”

Since joining Real Madrid in 2019, Hazard has suffered 10 separate injuries and missed a total of 50 games over that period, or 320 days combined - almost a year.

In a recent interview, the Atletico Madrid doctor has said the Belgian may never play football again if he undergoes third surgery on his ankle.
