According to Diario AS, Raphael Varane will miss the Getafe match on Sunday due to Covid-19 protocols. He needs two negative tests to be allowed to return and has provided only one so far.
The defender was tested for Covid-19 on Tuesday and it came back negative. He then underwent a second test on Friday morning but the result is unknown.
However, Varane has missed the deadline set by La Liga protocols, so he will not be available for the game.
The centre-back tested positive for the new coronavirus on April 6 and has missed El Clasico and both games against Liverpool.
If his second test returns negative, Raphael will be back for the Cadiz game, scheduled for Wednesday next week.
Meanwhile, Militao is the only senior centre-back Zidane would have available for the Getafe game: Varane is out through coronavirus, Nacho is suspended, and Ramos is injured (and has contracted Covid-19 too).
Time for Victor Chust, perhaps?
