Man United went close to signing Isco in 2013 but opted not to for one very strange reason

If there ever was a list of strangest reasons why clubs chose not to sign players, this would probably top it.

In 2013, Manchester United were close to signing Isco while he was still playing for Malaga. As per ESPN, the Red Devils scouted him many times but decided against a move, claiming 'his head was too big for his body'.

Isco went on to join Real Madrid but has been largely hit or miss since then. Despite showing flashes of brilliance, the 28-year-old has been troubled with injuries over the years.

He has tailed off in the last 3 seasons, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists despite making 69 appearances - many from the bench though. We won't be surprised to see Isco move on in the summer.
