UEFA punish former Super League clubs
9 ex-Super League clubs have agreed to a 5 per cent reduction of their earnings from the Champions League and the Europa League this season.
They have also agreed to €100m fines in case they decide to join the ESL or another similar competition.
This punishment does not concern the 3 remaining clubs that have not pulled out of the ESL yet (Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus).
Ceferin promises to punish Madrid
Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus, who are still in the ESL project, will face serious consequences, according to the UEFA president Ceferin.
"These clubs (9 ex-ESL clubs) recognised their mistakes quickly and have taken action to demonstrate their contrition and future commitment to European football," he said.
"The same cannot be said for the clubs that remain involved in the so-called ‘Super League’ and UEFA will deal with those clubs subsequently."
Lautaro Martinez's agent dismisses Madrid links
