'I'm happy at Castilla': Raul's words when asked about becoming Madrid manager in April

"At the moment I have been a coach for two years, I am in Castilla," Raul said when asked about becoming a Real Madrid head coach in the future, as quoted by journalist Arancha Rodriguez.

"I imagine that in the future it [coaching Real Madrid] could be a goal, but for now I am learning and happy in the team I am at."

Raul spent 16 years in Madrid's first team. He holds the record for appearances made for the Whites (741) and is the club's second-best goalscorer with 323 goals.

As things stand, Raul, Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino remain the only candidates to take the wheel at Madrid, as Joachim Low pulled out of the race earlier.
