Florentino Perez is open to selling a host of Real Madrid big names this summer. The departure of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos in one transfer window means such a narrative cannot be taken with a pinch of salt.

However, new gaffer Carlo Ancelotti doesn't want the club to pull the rug from under his feet as he battles to build a squad that can compete for titles.

To that effect, Carlo has told Perez he mustn't sell Thibaut Courtois, Karim Benzema, Fede Valverde and Vinicius Junior, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

Los Blancos are said to be cash-strapped and have not made any major signing during the transfer window.

It was recently reported that Florentino Perez has closed the door on new signings this summer.
