Real Madrid and Rennes close to reaching agreement over Camavinga (reliability: 5 stars)

By the look of things, Real Madrid have moved on from the idea of signing Kylian Mbappe this summer.

As per Le Parisien, the Whites have reached an agreement with Rennes over the transfer of Eduardo Camavinga. Everything happened in the last few hours, it is said.

According to the reliable Julien Maynard, Real Madrid will pay between €28m and €30m in fixed plus possible bonuses.

Finally, Fabrizio Romano adds that the deal is not 100% done but the talks are very advanced. The Madrid side have indeed submitted an offer.

UPD: Fabrizio Romano reports that the offer is slightly above €30m while Eduardo has agreed on a 2026 contract with Los Blancos.

The 18-year-old's contract at Rennes expires next summer and he is said to be unwilling to extend it. This term so far, Camavinga has played six matches for the French side.
