Plaudits should also go to Karim Benzema who made sure he got on the scoresheet. That helped him maintain a scoring run of 5 consecutive games for club and country.
Rodrygo also showed class with his goal. Altogether, Madrid were a ruthless machine in front of goal.

Tactics
Carlo Ancelotti got it right this time, as regards his tactics, game management and team selection.
The one surprise was that Lucas Vazquez started the game at right back while Nacho sat on the bench.
It all worked out in the end as Nacho is traditionally a centre-back and Vazquez has proven to be a good right back in the past.
In midfield, Ancelotti went for experience with the regular trio of Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric all starting. They barely put a foot wrong.

Team spirit
Real Madrid looked like a well-knit unit against their Ukrainian opponents.
The passes flowed freely and chances after chances were being created. Players were putting themselves on the line for each other.
If Los Blancos can continue in this form, they'll definitely win a major trophy or two this season.

Ferland Mendy returned to the starting lineup for the first time since May with David Alaba moving over to centre-back to allow the Frenchman play as the left-back.
Even Jesus Vallejo who made his first appearance for Real Madrid this season didn't disappoint.
The coordination was top-notch in defence, and Real Madrid kept a clean sheet as a result.
