Benzema banged in hat-trick against Chelsea while fasting all day

Karim Benzema terrorized Chelsea and smashed in a superb hat-trick in just under 50 minutes against the English club.

As it turns out, the 34-year-old was observing the Ramadan fast as he is a devout Muslim.

Benzema had no problems with his sharpness, speed, drive and finesse despite not having a proper meal, or drink all day long.

Reports say, Benzema only broke his fasting, 13 minutes before the game started.

Benzema once stated in an interview, that taking part in fasting doesn't affect his performance: "No impact, Ramadan is part of my life and my religion makes Ramadan an obligation. I feel good when I'm fasting," Benzema told Esquire.
