'He's a part of history but time is moving forward': fans don't want Cristiano Ronaldo back at Madrid

Following the reports that Cristiano Ronaldo asked Manchester United to let him leave this summer, we asked the Real Madrid fans whether they'd like the club to bring the legendary Portuguese back.

There are few that would welcome Cristiano with open arms, there are some that would consider him as a bench option. The majority, though, believe that the 37-year-old is not needed in Madrid.

Here's what they've had to say.

Realmadrid007: "He should come and be our sporting director, he is successful already he needs to hang his boots and rest... He made the wrong choice of leaving Real Madrid 2018 for Juventus. By now, he would have beaten Messi in the Ballon d'Or race but he left milk and honey to kill his career. Cristiano Ronaldo knows his biggest mistake in his career is leaving Real Madrid for Juventus in 2018."

Mobolaji Oloyede: "Ronaldo can’t play in Madrid anymore. There is no position for him to occupy."

Raheem Kareem Ayinde: "If Ronaldo comes as a player, he will disorganise the team and his coming will affect Benzema's football. Except if he comes as one amongst the management."

Ammar Edrees: "He is a part of history but the time is moving forward with Vini and other young stars. So we don’t need him."

Nasir Adamu: "His return to Madrid will hamper the progress of youngsters like Vini, Rodrygo and Valverde. I suggest he shall play elsewhere, we remain grateful to his achievements with us."

Khalilu: "Enough is enough, his days are gone but, I am not saying we should forget him, he's a true legend. Let him give a chance to our promising young stars."

Ibrahim Attahiru: "We Madrid wish him best of luck in every decision that he makes in his future but coming back to us it's capital NO, we are brooding new players, young and with a lot of talent. Ronaldo is a story of yesterday and we are moving forward, not still celebrating the Champions League of yesterday."
