Ancelotti: 'Luka Modric is immortal'

"Modrić’s goal changed the game," Carlo Ancelotti said in the aftermath of the Celta Vigo clash, as quoted by Managing Madrid.

"Until then, it had been quite even. Celta were pressing well, but that intensity dropped in the second half.

"Modrić is immortal. He’s always ready and always plays well."

"The standing ovation for Modrić? I think all the fans around the world should applaud him," he added.

"As a fan, I would pay the ticket just to see him."

Modric scored a worldie and provided a brilliant assist as Madrid defeated Celta 4-1.

At the age of 36, he's still one of the best players in the world. This may sound like a cliche but the Croatian indeed ages like a fine wine.
