I seriously hope they reconsider this considering we are struggling in the midfield and up front. Vinicius is becoming the new Neymar, always complaining and making terrible decisions on the pitch and we essentially have one striker, with Rodrygo not really up to par with being a #9 and Benzema’s injury problems this season. Again tactics need to be changed for Don Carlo since we seem like the only team who struggles against teams with a low block defense and then tearing us apart with counter attacks, especially on the flanks where younger wingbacks are just catching our defenses off guard easily or simply incompetent players. Carvajal is playing in the twilight of his years, despite occasionally pulling up some great games and still displaying speed and passing that a young wingback displays. Mendy seems allergic to the ball and is easily overwhelmed making him prone to many mistakes. He reminds me of a young Casemiro, where he was not world class yet and making mistakes constantly, making our defense incredibly vulnerable. We seriously need to get our shit together and this board will get crucified if they cost us trophies simply because they didn’t listen to Carlo.
