Madrid benchwarmer gives up vacation, will train with second team during break

Marca report that, unlike his teammates that did not go to the World Cup, Jesus Vallejo will continue training during the break.

The centre-back has decided to give up his vacation and will work with Real Madrid Castilla under Raul's command for now. He will train for five days during the week and stay at home on the weekends when the reserves are playing.

Vallejo wants to be in top form once the club competitions return as he hopes Carlo Ancelotti will give him a chance.

This season so far, the 25-year-old has played just 17 minutes in the match against Celtic. Currently, the Spaniard is Ancelotti's fifth option at centre-back.

Real Madrid's squad returns to training on December 1 while La Liga resumes on December 31.
