Karim Benzema can make a stunning return to the France squad for the Qatar World Cup if he can fully recover from his injury soon, claims RMC Sport.
The Frenchman seems to have recovered quicker than expected and might be called into action by Les Bleues for the competition.
Benzema is reportedly set to rejoin Real Madrid training when they restart their training later this week.
But if they understand that he is fit, France will call the striker back to Qatar to fulfill his duties for the national team.
Benzema is still registered as part of the World Cup squad and will actually get a winner's medal if his side can win the entire thing even if he doesn’t play at all for them.
Ultimately, France manager Didier Deschamps will make the final decision on whether to call back the Ballon d’Or winner or not.
