Modric through to World Cup knockouts, Belgium eliminated

Croatia have made it out of group F of the Qatar World Cup.

Luka Modric's team finished second as the Moroccans surprisingly topped the group.

Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard's Belgium ended in third, with just one win in 3 outings. The so-called 'Golden generation' era has come to an end with the 2018 World Cup bronze remaining their best achievement.

It is not yet clear, who are the Croats to face in the round of 16 as neither of Spain, Japan, Costa Rica and Germany are guaranteed a spot there.
