Real Madrid will not stand in the way of any player who decides to leave the club in January (h/t Marca).
Before the end of last season, Carlo Ancelotti said in his press conference that he will not stop any player who wants to leave from doing so.
“I have never in my coaching career forced a player who wants to leave to stay,” Ancelotti was quoted by the Athletic.
“In my personal opinion, there is no question about it. If a player wants to leave, he is going to leave. There is not much doubt about this.”
The only player who is expected to leave the club in January is Alvaro Odriozola. The Spaniard has not played a single minute of football for Real Madrid this season.
Eden Hazard is another player who could leave for the same reason, but his departure is not expected in January.
