'I have four months left on my contract': Ceballos opens up on Real Madrid future

told Real Madrid TV: “There is no bigger club than Madrid.

“I have four months left on my contract, but I am going to give everything to show that I want to stay here. I have to grit my teeth and show that I have the level to play here.

“I had a great second half against Villarreal and I helped the team with a nice comeback. The coach then asked me to start. I have provided energy and desire and I have shown it on the pitch. I am very happy for the victory, especially in this very difficult stadium.”

Ceballos will need to continue performing at a high level to convince Los Blancos to give him a contract extension, something which they are not considering for the moment.

The 26-year-old has made 17 appearances for Madrid this season, scoring a goal and providing 3 assists.

Kroos has been at Real Madrid for the past eight years and has enjoyed remarkable success. 

The German maestro has already won four Champions League titles at Madrid and remains one of the best midfielders in World football today. 

The 32-year-old will be a free agent at the end of this season.

Truly he’s inconsistent, let’s forget he’s played well this few matches… I followed him while at arsenal, he flopped there, even his first stint at Madrid, he didn’t do much even given some chances

Honestly we should keep him. Looking at our veterans, whom we rely on, we are lacking depth, especially in the midfield in certain positions. Camavinga has shown his quality. Ceballos is willing to track back and contribute. Valverde we all know. Asensio we all know as well. We can’t let them go, even if we’re going to raid Dortmund of Bellingham. We still need experienced players entering their prime as well as young blood. We should keep him.
