In his latest piece for The Athletic, the reputable Mario Cortegana (5 stars) provided an update on the futures of Nacho, Marco Asensio, and Dani Ceballos, with the contracts of the three players set to expire at the end of the season.
Nacho is yet to make a decision regarding his future as he has a tempting proposal on the table from the MLS. However, he seems inclined to continue at Santiago Bernabeu which Real Madrid would prefer.
Asensio, meanwhile, is unsatisfied with the offer he's received from Madrid.
Finally, the club is yet to contract Ceballos over his future despite the midfielder saying repeatedly that he'd like to extend his deal.
It's worth noting that the contracts of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Mariano Diaz also expire at the end of the season. Among these, Mariano is the only player who will definitely leave while the future of others is up in the air.
