Bellingham requests specific jersey number to wear at Madrid -- it means a lot for Jude

According to the fresh report from Relevo, Jude Bellingham has requested the number 22 jersey to wear at Real Madrid.

Apparently, it has a special meaning for the player.

The English youngster insists that no.22 represents his ability to play every position in midfield - as a four, eight and ten.

He did wear this jersey during his time at Dortmund and Birmingham City and still does while on international duty with England.

Side note: number 22 shirt was retired at Birmingham in recognition of then-17-year-old player. You won't see things like this happen very often.

There's just one problem: it is currently occupied by Antonio Rudiger. However, Jude could still get the number if he asks for it politely.

If for some reason the defender opts to keep #22, the two other options are no.5, previously worn by his idol Zinedine Zidane and currently occupied by Jesus Vallejo, and the vacated no.7.
