Chelsea defender Reece James is actually keen on the possibility of playing for Real Madrid in the near future, claims El Debate.
The same also applies to PSG star Achraf Hakimi, with this coming amid calls from some fans to sign a new right-back.
While Real Madrid would love to have either of the two defenders, there are certain stumbling blocks ahead.
PSG are reportedly going to ask €80m to sell Hakimi, which is something Madrid won’t spend on a defender.
Los Blancos feel like signing Hakim is a more viable option, but to do so, they’ll need to offload some of their star players to balance the wage books – as they’ll have to give him a high salary.
Madrid are currently not prioritizing the signing of a new right-back, as they’re more focused on signing a new forward to replace Karim Benzema.
