Carvajal ends Modric's international trophy dream with ice-cold panenka penalty for Spain

After the initial 120 minutes ended in a 0-0 draw, Spain went on to beat Croatia 5-4 on penalties thus clinching the UEFA Nations League title.

Dani Carvajal, who entered the pitch seven minutes into overtime, scored the winner in the coldest fashion - with a panenka.

Apart from Carvajal, Nacho, Fran Garcia and Marco Asensio are now all crowned as the UEFA Nations League champions.

Unfortunately for Luka Modric, there's only one winner in the game. The veteran midfielder has once again ended up as a runner-up.

Despite featuring in three final with his national team, he is yet to clinch a trophy.
