Favourite to replace injured Courtois at Real Madrid goal named - it's not De Gea

In the wake of Thibaut Courtois' season-ending ACL injury, Real Madrid are swiftly addressing the need for a replacement as the new season looms.

David De Gea, Yassine Bono, and Kepa Arrizabalaga were named among the possible successors.

Despite ex-Man United man being a cost-free option, multiple sources claim he's not the favourite for the role.

According to Marca, both club's board and Carlo Ancelotti are leaning towards signing Bono - the Qatar World Cup hero, whose saves helped Morocco reach their first-ever semifinal back in 2022.

The only stumbling block at the moment is a transfer fee: while the Moroccan's market value is assessed at €12m, Sevilla are seeking almost twice the price for his services.
