Karim Benzema scores his 2nd OWN goal with Al Ittihad

Things are clearly going wrong for Karim Benzema in Saudi Arabia.

The Frenchman has scored his SECOND own goal for Al Ittihad – this time in the Asian Champions League.

Just like the last time, it was a header coming from a set piece.

Luckily, Al Ittihad came from behind to beat Uzbekistani side Navbahor 2-1. Benzema provided the assist for the equaliser.

In the quarterfinals, Al Ittihad will take on Al Hilal, the Saudi Pro League leaders who are likely to win the championship. Cristiano Ronaldo's side, Al Nassr, will face UAE team Al Ain. If things go well for the two Real Madrid legends, they will face each other in the semifinals.

Karim Benzema has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 22 appearances for the Saudi Arabian side. The 36-year-old reportedly had a difficult relationship with the team's head coach in January, ignoring the preseason and even thinking of leaving the club.
