PSG manager Luis Enrique has found every excuse to sub off Kylian Mbappe since the forward decided to leave the club in the summer.
In PSG's last three games, Mbappe has either not started or been hooked off before the end of the match as was the case against Monaco on Friday.
Explaining why he does it, Enrique said: “I have been in football for quite a long time, you must know that everything is important in this kind of club.
"When I consider it appropriate he will play, and when I do not, he won't, like all coaches do.
"Again, at some point, we will have to learn to play without Kylian," Enrique adds.
Mbappe was spotted smiling in the tunnel after being subbed off in PSG's 0-0 draw against Monaco. The striker didn't show any signs of injury.
Regardless of how PSG chooses to treat Mbappe, he remains their best player and top scorer with 32 goals and seven assists in 33 games.
The Frenchman is expected to arrive at Real Madrid as a free agent in the summer.
