With the Kylian Mbappe deal all but wrapped up, Real Madrid have turned their focus on signing another of their top targets for the summer – Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies.
The 23-year-old has been identified as a key target to upgrade the team’s options in the left-back position. Recent reports claimed that Davies had already reached a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid.
However, what is left is a deal with Bayern over a fee. While the Germans value Davies at around €50m, Real are said to be planning to pay only €35m.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Los Blancos have no intention to pay "crazy fee". He wrote on X: "Real Madrid keep working on Alphonso Davies deal with clear plan: no intention to pay ‘crazy’ fee to Bayern this summer.
"Davies’ deal expires in June 2025, Real want him but price has to be ‘fair’ with 12 months left on contract."
