Vinicius Jr. to captain Brazil at Bernabeu in Spain friendly

Vinicius Jr. will wear the captain's armband with Brazil in their friendly against Spain today, the Athletic report.

The Real Madrid forward broke down in tears and admitted that he considered quitting football when asked about his experience of racism in Spain at the press conference before the game.

The game kicks off at Santiago Bernabeu at 9:30pm local time. The friendly was organised “to reinforce the commitment against violence and racism in football”.

Vinicius featured in Brazil's 1-0 victory against England last weekend. Endrick scored the only goal of the game but the Selecao head coach Dorival confirmed that the youngster won't start at the Bernabeu.
