2 Real Madrid players Ancelotti predicted to outscore Bellingham – how they have fared

Back in November, Carlo Ancelotti predicted that Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo would score more goals during this season than Jude Bellingham.

"Rodrygo and Vinicius are going to score more goals throughout the season. They are going to score more than Bellingham and Joselu. We have no doubts about this," Ancelotti said.

Fast-forward to April, Bellingham remains Real Madrid's top scorer with 20 goals in 34 games. That's despite enduring a six-game goal drought.

However, in line with Ancelotti's prediction, Vinicius and Rodrygo are quickly catching up with Jude in terms of goals.

When Bellingham had 17 goals, Vini had only six. Now, the Brazilian has scored 18 goals after 30 games and is just two behind Bellingham's tally.

Rodrygo is not too off either. The 23-year-old has 16 goals in 43 games. Thus, he's only four behind Bellingham.

It's impressive that Real Madrid's attackers are chipping in with goals when Bellingham fires blanks. After all, Jude wasn't signed as a striker. Still, the Englishman has already scored six more goals than he did for Dortmund last season before Real Madrid paid €103m to get him.

Real Madrid will now be hoping that Vini, Rodrygo and Bellingham can find their scoring boots against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final second leg.
