'It's possible': Bayer CEO teases Xabi Alonso's future - it has to do with Real Madrid

Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro asked about the future of Xabi Alonso: “It’s possible that he will become Real Madrid manager one day, yes,” he said. 

Alonso previously confirmed that he will stay at Leverkusen next season, effectively ending speculations linking him with replacing Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Los Blancos are not in immediate need of a new manager but would welcome the option of Alonso replacing Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti’s current deal at Santiago Bernabeu expires in 2026, whereas Alonso has stated clearly that he would remain one more season at Leverkusen, though that might extend next year.
