Marca journalist Jose Felix Diaz, a highly reliable source, insists that Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Luka Modric regarding a new deal.

Florentino Perez reportedly held multiple meetings with the club veteran on Saturday.

The only thing missing is Modric's signature on the new deal, which will keep the iconic midfielder at Santiago Bernabeu for another year, until June 2025.

Modric is said to have turned down significant offers from other clubs in order to remain in Madrid. The 38-years-young Luka is hopeful of retiring at the club one day.
