Real Madrid won't go for Leny Yoro this summer – reason revealed

With one-club man Nacho set to bid farewell to Bernabeu at the end of the season, Real Madrid are actively seeking a worthy replacement. Reports suggest that 18-year-old Lille star Leny Yoro has emerged as a top candidate to succeed the departing skipper.

However, it seems unlikely that Los Blancos will pursue the defender this summer. The hefty price tag of €60m for a player who will become available for free in 2025, is deemed unreasonable by the club board, as per Marca.

So, if Yoro does not arrive this summer, Madrid will continue to rely on Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao as Ancelotti's first-choice centre-backs, with David Alaba and Rafa Marin serving as backups.

Ferland Mendy, Dani Carvajal and Aurelien Tchouameni could fill in out of position in case of emergency, too.
