Real Madrid president Florentino Perez speaks out on Toni Kroos retirement

There has been an outpouring of emotions since Toni Kroos announced he is leaving football following 10 years at Real Madrid.

Club president Florentino Perez has now added his voice to the hot topic.

“Toni Kroos is one of the greatest players in the history of Real Madrid and this club is and always will be his home,” Florentino said in a statement.

Kroos is tipped to go into coaching after leaving active football. First, the German midfielder will look to acquire his coaching licence.

Real Madrid already have a pack of midfielders ready to step into the big shoes left by Kroos. Players like Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde will ensure that Kroos is not sorely missed in central midfield.
