Thibaut Courtois almost suffered an embarrassment after being forced to make a heroic clearance to deny an own-goal during Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Eibar on Saturday.
In the 62nd minute with Madrid 1-0 up, the ball was passed back to Courtois but the goalkeeper completely misjudged the pace of the pass.
Because of the windy weather, the ball soared past the Belgian goalkeeper and was en route to the back of the net.
However, Courtois showed impressive pace to brilliantly recover and make a last-ditch clearance to avoid the humiliation.
The fans were left impressed by his recovery challenge even though some Real Madrid fans nearly had a heart attack as they reacted on Reddit.
