'I'll be sincere. He wasn't ready'. Jorginho suprises fans with honest interview about Frank Lampard

"Look, I'll be really sincere here on Lampard. I believe, given he was a legend at the club, he skipped some steps necessary for learning before moving to a big club," Jorginho has said in an interview with ESPN Brasil.

"He came to a club where he is a legend, without having experience at other clubs. I think he came too soon, skipped a few steps ahead and wasn't ready for a job at this level, to be honest."

It's hard to argue with the Brazil-born Italian as Lampard only had one season in charge of Derby County in the Championship before his appointment at Chelsea in the summer of 2019.

Despite finishing in the Premier League top four in his first season in charge of the Blues, the Englishman seemingly lost the dressing room midway through his second campaign with Chelsea and subsequently was sacked in January.

Carlo Ancelotti suggests revolutionary rule that would 'improve football' after Superleague collapse

The European Super League appears to be dead but top clubs continue to look for ways to improve their finances amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has suggested that implementing a salary cap could help reduce the spending in modern football.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the Italian said: "I am not a politician to talk about this but there are a lot of instruments that you can use. One, for example, is a salary cap that could be used to improve the competition.

"The salary caps means less money for the manager, means less money for the players. But to try to equalise, a little bit, the competition I think it can be an idea. It can be a solution but there can be other solutions, really I don't know."

Andrea Pirlo sends a warning to Cristiano Ronaldo after his dangerous behaviour during free-kick

Cristiano Ronaldo is unlikely to be involved in freekick defensive duties for Juventus following his defensive mistake in Juventus' win against Parma.

As part of Juve wall facing a Parma freekick, Ronaldo covered his face and ducked to allow Gaston Brugman to give his side the lead in the encounter with a well-taken shot.

Ronaldo's embarrassing antics in Juve's wall will now be evaluated, according to Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo: "Unfortunately these things happen, we will evaluate what to do in the next matches and whether to put him in the wall."

Alex Sandro scored twice while Matthijs de Ligt headed home Juan Cuadrado's cross to seal a 3-1 win for the Old Lady.

Ronaldo made a similar mistake in Juve Champions League exit against Porto last month when Sergio Oliveira's low free-kick went through Ronaldo's leg and in.
