Matteo Guendouzi included in final shortlist for Golden Boy award

Matteo Guendouzi was included in the final shortlist for the Golden Boy award which consists of 20 young players from all over Europe.

The 20-year-old was initially one of four Gunners youngsters in a 100-strong list. Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock were all among the nominees, but only the Frenchman made it to the final.

He will compete with the likes of Atletico's Joao Felix whose transfer from Benfica cost a whooping €126 million, as well as last year's winner Matthijs de Ligt (Juventus) and England international Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund).

Three other Premier League representatives also made the cut: Everton's Moise Kean, Man City's Phil Foden and Chelsea's Mason Mount.

The winner will be announced on December 16 after a vote by a panel of 40 journalists from such outlets as Marca, Bild, the Telegraph, A Bola and more. Fans can also cast their vote.
