Huddersfield boss raves about Smith Rowe: 'He could find space in telephone box'

Arsenal loanee Emile Smith Rowe impressed on Tuesday as his Huddersfield secured three points against Bristol City.

The 19-year-old assisted Chris Willock (former Arsenal Academy player and brother of Joe) and scored a penalty, effectively winning the game for the Terries.

This has not gone unnoticed by Danny Cowley who discussed the midfielder at the post-match presser.

"He looked a top player, didn't he," the Terries boss said as cited by the Examiner Live.

"He has that ability to find space; he could find space in a telephone box; he speeds the play up for you and draws and commits and I think it would have been a brilliant performance if he had scored.

"I am always going to be demanding of him because, to me, he is a Premier League player so I have to treat him like that and demand Premier League standards from him - in training and in games, day in and day out.

"It was a really good performance."

Emile has the potential to become a top player:

Given that Mesut Ozil is a first-choice playmaker under Mikel Arteta, the 19-year-old had simply no chance to get regular first-team football this season. Hence, he was loaned out to Huddersfield Town in January.

Earlier in February, Smith Rowe's display against Fulham was so good so Arsenal fans started comparing him to Kevin de Bruyne.
