'You shouldn't be doing that': Mayor of London hits out at Tottenham as Spurs ingore lockdown as Mourinho and three players spotted training in park

The United Kingdom is currently on lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic but the rules do not seem to concern Jose Mourinho and several Tottenham players as they were spotted holding a training session on Hadley Common in North London.

Several pictures and videos of Davinson Sanchez, Ryan Sessegnon, Tanguy Ndombele and Mourinho, taken by passers by, were leaked on Tuesday.

The Lilywhites are completely ignoring the social distancing rules as they stand closer than 2 metres.

While Arsenal players and coaches urge everyone to stay at home, our neighbours apparently think that the rules simply do not apply to them.

The country is trying to halt the spread of the disease and it's shocking to see a Premier League team ignoring the government advice so blatantly.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has blasted Tottenham for their actions.

"My issue is, leading by example," he told BBC. "And my concern is, particularly children, who may support Spurs or follow football, they watch these images, pick up a paper, watch the internet and think, 'Well if it's okay for them, why isn't it okay for me?'

"And that's why it's so important, all of us, we're doing this interview using Skype. I've not left my home to do media or to do work for the last three weeks or so, to demonstrate that it is possible to work from home... unless you really, really, really have to leave home.

"And the point I'd make, with politeness and courtesy, is: ask yourself the question: is what I'm doing really necessary?

"And the answer is no, it isn't necessary to be training in close proximity with another player, who may be carrying the virus, and what you're doing is inadvertently, unintentionally potentially spreading the virus. You shouldn't be doing that."
