Arsenal said to be keen on another Brazilian wonderkid named Gabriel, ranked among world's most valuable youngsters

Another name on Arsenal's radar as the Gunners are tracking Gabriel Veron, according to ESPN Brazil.

The Palmeiras winger has attracted interest from Barcelona and Everton, with the Toffees launching a £13.1m offer which has been turned down by the Brazilian club.

The Sao Paolo-based side are not willing to sell for less than £26.5m.

As Veron is only 17 years old, he will have to wait until September to complete a move to any European side if Palmeiras sell him.

Earlier, Gabriel confirmed that he is named after the famous Argentine midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron.

Struggling to understand why anyone would want to name their child after Juan Veron? Look at this:

The forward played his first game in November last year. In his second match, he scored two goals and provided an assist in just 32 minutes on the pitch.

His main strength is dribbling and he operates primarily as a right-winger but is also capable of playing on the left. The 17-year-old was a part of the Brazil youth team that won the 2019 U-17 World Cup.

Unlike Gabriel Martinelli, who was brought to Arsenal from relative obscurity, Veron enjoys more spotlight as Transfermarkt recently named him among three most valuable players who are 17 years old or younger.
