"It's the perfect team to succeed': Ceballos hints his future lies away from Arsenal

In a bit of news we can't really call surprising Dani Ceballos has pledged his loyalty to Real Madrid, in the process basically dismissing he has a future at Arsenal.

"I'm a Real Madrid player... and any player in the world would like to play for Real Madrid," Ceballos told Televisa Espanola.

"I have a contract with them for three more years and it is the perfect team to succeed."

Ceballos was secured as a loan signing from Los Blancos last summer, with Unai Emery playing a key role in persuading the former Betis man to come over to Arsenal.

Dani started a number of games in succession up until November when injury ruled him out for a period. He was starting to make an impact under Mikel Arteta too, before coronavirus killed off all momentum the Gunners had.

However, through all of that Ceballos kept flirting with Real Madrid, even despite reports he doesn't feature in Zinedine Zidane's plans. The player himself admitted he hasn't spoken to the French manager since leaving for Arsenal.

We are more than fed up with his dilly-dallying, to be fair. We'll leave the door open for him once the season ends and could even get him a taxi to Heathrow, complete with a one-way ticket to Madrid. We'll even get petty enough to enjoy him polishing the bench in the Spanish capital.

Do you believe the Gunners should try and keep Dani or should he be let go? Go ahead and tell us in the comments or jump in our new blogging platform!
