Kieran Tierney likely to miss Manchester City clash due to Scotland Covid-19 case

Kieran Tierney will miss the upcoming internationals, the Scottish FA has confirmed.

"The Lothian Health Protection Team have identified two players and two members of the backroom staff as close contacts," the official statement reads.

"As a consequence, Kieran Tierney and Ryan Christie – along with one physiotherapist and one masseur - will require to self-isolate for 14 days as of yesterday, and will also miss the forthcoming matches."

The test was taken on October 6. So the Scotsman is expected to self-isolate until October 20.

As a result of the situation, The full-back will presumably not feature in the clash with Manchester City on October 17.

Ainsley-Maitland Niles, Bukayo Saka or Sead Kolasinac (if he's included in the 25-man squad list for the season) could step in to replace the 23-year-old.
