'Clearly what we are doing in the PL isn't working': fan suggests how to improve using Europa League blueprint

Arsenal rounded off their group stages in style by beating Dundalk and getting 6 wins out of 6. However, up until now Arteta hasn't found a way to carry some of that hot European streak into the Premier League. Our fan on Reddit might just have the answer.

WaRedditUser: "Re-watching the highlights the Dundalk game. what strikes me is just the difference in athleticism on the pitch in the EL for the Gunners. I mean the Balogun goal just showed some nice speed from Pepe and Balogun. Granted it’s against Dundalk who might make it look our guys are in fast forward, but you can tell speed when you see it.

"Anyone afraid of Xhaka or Ceballos running at the them? Probably not. Sometimes it’s not more complicated that. Auba is fast, but system doesn’t really let him use his speed. It feels dark right now in the PL, but it feels like to me, with a bit more pace in the middle (i.e., Partey healthy), and one creative piece, this team looks dramatically better.

"It’s odd to me that Arteta doesn’t try one or two different pieces in the PL. Bench Willian and place one of the faster youngsters, and try ESR. You can always sub them out if they are getting overwhelmed. Clearly what we are doing in the PL isn’t working."
